Joycons or traditional controller?

With how often the joycons get damaged, I've decided I'm going to focus more on using the pro controller or just traditional controllers instead. I figure use those first, and then use the joycons after, or only for handheld use. I just don't want to deal with sending joycons in for repair so much. It's very annoying.

Anyway, which do you prefer to use for gaming? I also find the joy cons to be a bit too small for my hands anyway, so a standard controller works best for me.
