The Epic Games Store free games for July 27 through August 3 are Homeworld Remastered Collection and Severed Steel. Epic Games Store users will have a full week to claim those games for their digital libraries, but they have two other free games to grab in the meantime.
The current Epic Games Store free games are Murder by Numbers and The Elder Scrolls Online. Anyone interested in grabbing those games for free has until July 27 to do so. Murder by Numbers has drawn comparisons to Ace Attorney and Picross, so fans of those kinds of games will definitely want to check it out while it’s up for grabs. The Elder Scrolls Online, meanwhile, is the gigantic MMORPG from ZeniMax Online Studios and Bethesda that lets players explore huge swaths of Tamriel with friends. It once required a subscription fee, but that requirement is long gone, meaning fans can play The Elder Scrolls Online as much as they’d like after grabbing it for free through the Epic Games Store.
Murder by Numbers and The Elder Scrolls Online are very solid freebies for the Epic Games Store, as are the free games coming July 27. As previously mentioned, the Epic Games Store free games for July 27 to August 3 are Homeworld Remastered Collection and Severed Steel. As always, the games will be available completely free of charge, with absolutely no strings attached beyond the fact that they must be played through the Epic Games launcher.
Epic Games Store Free Games July 2023
- Murder by Numbers (July 20 – July 27)
- The Elder Scrolls Online (July 20 – July 27)
- Homeworld Remastered Collection (July 27 – August 3)
- Severed Steel (July 27 – August 3)
Homeworld Remastered Collection is the highest-rated game out of the bunch. Homeworld Remastered Collection features remastered versions of both the original Homeworld and Homeworld 2 in a single package. The popular real-time strategy games were a big hit when they first released and Homeworld Remastered Collection similarly earned rave reviews from critics. Even if one doesn’t consider themselves a fan of the RTS genre, Homeworld Remastered Collection could be worth checking out.
Severed Steel, meanwhile, is a completely different beast. A first-person shooter game, Severed Steel earned mostly positive reviews when it first released as well, though it wasn’t quite as well-received as Homeworld Remastered Collection. Either way, there is no downside for Epic Games Store users to claim the game for free, so they should definitely do so come July 27.
After Homeworld Remastered Collection and Severed Steel are rotated out of the Epic Games Store on August 3, they will be replaced by some other freebie. The Epic Games Store free games have no end in sight, so PC gamers should plenty of free games to grab in the months ahead.
